Will is not short on stamina, with an impressive list of sporting interests that includes endurance events, running, swimming, skiing and rugby. Having lived and been educated in Singapore, Hong Kong, New York, London and Sydney, Will graduated from Edinburgh University with a degree in Business Studies in 1998. He joined the graduate training programme of HSBC in the same year and an initial role in equity analysis was followed by a move into institutional equity sales. This institutional focus continued in Will’s next role at ABN AMRO. In 2006 he joined Invesco Perpetual as UK Product Director, working closely with Neil Woodford and responsible for articulating portfolio strategies and pitching for new institutional mandates. Will saw the move to Woodford Investment Management as a terrific opportunity and describes working in an environment with colleagues he trusts and admires, all aligned and committed to creating something special as “the reason I get up every morning”.
